PHI is a helper of the poor, they give hope to the hopeless, to the downtrodden and suffering while those given up for dead were more or less resurrected by them. That’s how I see PHI. The founder is still the Iko Ibanga I knew in Holy Family College in the seventies; he hasn’t changed. Without NGOs like PHI, a lot of the Systematic Development Goals objectives would not be realized.

Volunteering with PHI has been fun. You will be accommodated and be given very good food. Even as a Muslim I join the devotion and morning prayers. I work with PHI as a Christian organization because of the passion they have to help the poor. God teaches us that. What PHI is doing is to make people happy, at least those that are sick and cannot afford the hospital bill.

Medicine depends on experience and they say, if you don’t use it, you lose it.
When you go on PHI projects and you are serious, the experience that you get there will be vast and nothing compared to what you get in your clinic.
The motivation is the joy of being able to make a difference.
