Strengthening Capacity for Sustainable Impact:
Empowering CSOs to Support Orphans and Vulnerable Children
The USAID-funded Integrated Child Health and Social Services Award (ICHSSA-4) project is committed to strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) to implement quality services for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and to ensure long-term sustainability.
As part of this commitment, ICHSSA-4 provided training to CSOs on strategic plan development, aiming to strengthen their governance structures. Additionally, the project focused on enhancing their proposal development skills to help them secure both current and future funding. This is crucial for maintaining their relevance in the sector and ensuring continued support for OVC.
By building these essential capacities, we are empowering CSOs to:
Implement high-quality services that address the needs of OVC
Strengthen their organizational governance for better leadership and decision-making
Develop effective project proposals to secure sustainable funding
Ensure that the plight of OVC is continually addressed, even beyond the life of the project.
Our goal is to create a strong foundation for CSOs to remain impactful and resilient, ensuring that vulnerable children continue to receive the care and support they need.
