Learning across borders. Preparing together.
Public health emergencies do not stop at national borders. Building stronger regional health security requires skilled professionals who can work together, share experience and respond effectively.
Cohort 2 creates an opportunity for participants from across the region to deepen their knowledge, exchange practical experiences and strengthen the professional relationships required for effective emergency management.
From foundational learning to intermediate capacity.
PHEM training in Nigeria has evolved from the Basic Course launched in 2017 to the Intermediate Course, further strengthening emergency management knowledge and capability.
The programme contributes to the wider goals of the Global Health Security Agenda by strengthening preparedness and building capacity before outbreaks and other public health emergencies occur.
The PHEM Basic Course was introduced as part of efforts to strengthen emergency-management capacity.
Building further on foundational knowledge through deeper regional learning and collaboration.
Working together for a safer region.
Cohort 2 reflects the collaboration required to build resilient public health systems and strengthen emergency preparedness across West Africa.
