PROJECT OVERVIEW

Holistic support for vulnerable households.

ICHSSA-4 was designed to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS and other vulnerabilities affecting Orphans and Vulnerable Children, adolescents and their caregivers.

The project used holistic case management with integrated health and social services tailored to the needs of vulnerable households.

Implementation spanned six states in Northern Nigeria: Adamawa, Bauchi, Taraba, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara.

Civil Society Organisations

SYSTEMS FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Strengthening the network around families.

ICHSSA-4 strengthened a network of more than sixteen Civil Society Organisations to support delivery of Healthy, Schooled, Safe and Stable outcomes.

Systems strengthening for sustainability was also included within the project's integrated service package.

ROUTINE IMMUNIZATION

Extending health support beyond the clinic.

The programme also worked to improve routine immunization uptake through school-based and household platforms.
